Dear Directors, Hospital CEOs, and Programme Managers,
Onbehalf of the Permanent Secretary you are informed that the Personnel Management Office (PMO) has opened scholarship applications for Master’s Degree programmes for the 2026/2027 academic year.
Interested staff are required to obtain application forms from the Human Resource Development Division of the PMO during official working hours, or download them from the PMO website: www.pmo.gov.gm.
Key Points for Applicants:
ü Applicants must apply through the Permanent Secretary for onward transmission to the PMO.
ü Applicants must be confirmed permanent and pensionable staff with at least three (3) years of service.
ü The intended course of study must be relevant to the applicant’s current role or the Ministry’s mandate.
ü Applicants must not be above 54 years of age.
ü Priority will be given to applications for courses in Asia and Africa, particularly at the University of The Gambia.
ü The tuition fee threshold for overseas programmes is £15,000 (with possible exceptions for STEM courses). For local programmes, the threshold is D200,000.
ü Applications must include credible admission letters confirming admission, duration, and tuition fees.
Submission Process:
Completed application forms should be submitted to the Directorate of Human Resources for Health.
A Committee will review and prioritize applications based on the Ministry’s training needs.
Deadline for Submission:
Receipt of Application at DHRH deadline is the 15th March and selected applications must reach the PMO by 31st March 2026.
