Puur Foundation Working Together in the Maternity Ward and Improving

Februaru 28th, 2025:

Yesterday was about training, collaboration, and improving care for newborns. đź’™

Training and knowledge transfer
Our team provided valuable training on infant resuscitation and shoulder dystocia. These are situations that don’t occur often, but when they do, quick and correct action can be vital. It’s inspiring to see how motivated the local healthcare staff are to further develop these skills.

Helping out in the delivery rooms
In addition to the training sessions, we also worked in the delivery rooms and helped care for newborns. On the resuscitation table, each baby was carefully examined. We use materials donated from the Netherlands—including the hats from Rijnstate! @geboortezorgrijnstate @rijnstate

Making an impact together
Every day here, we witness the importance of sharing knowledge and working together to improve care. We are grateful for all the support that makes our work possible and remain committed to promoting safe and respectful motherhood in The Gambia!
